Introduction

Every service strategy is a transformation strategy and aims to drive significant changes at a good pace.

So, the fact that 2/3 of the strategies fail in execution is a serious challenge we must fix.

In essence, there are 3 causes:

  1. Most of our strategies are not strategies to win.
  2. Common processes to develop a strategy do not build buy-in.
  3. Traditional approaches for strategic planning and execution block agility and ownership.

In the Executive Service Roundtable of April, we will discuss 3 approaches to ensure an adequate execution of your service strategy, while at the same time improving employee engagement.

  • Articulate a compelling “why”.
  • Develop sub-strategies.
  • Establish an Objectives-Key Results habit.

Kick-Off meeting

April 26 & 27

Key topics discussed:

  • Articulate a compelling “why”:
    • Formulate a winning aspiration.
    • Keep the core purpose alive.
  • Develop sub-strategies:
    • Each department and team have their own winning strategy.
    • These strategies should be winning strategies.
    • We need a top-down and bottom-up process.
  • Establish an Objectives-Key Results habit:
    • Each team defines bold and aspirational goals.
    • These are aligned with the overall goals.
    • Each goal has clear Key Results as the target .

Overview of meetings in each monthly Roundtable

Every month, we start a new Roundtable with another theme.

For each monthly Roundtable, we will host 4 online meetings of 1 hour each:

  1. A Kick-Off meeting on the first Monday of the Month.
We present best practices and practical frameworks, after which we have a peer discussion.
  2. A first Ask-Us-Anything meeting on the second Monday of the month.
We will discuss a few of the questions that were submitted by participants beforehand.
  3. A Deep-Dive meeting on the third Monday of the month.
We present a deep-dive on the 1-2 topics participants chose, after which we have a peer discussion.
  4. A second Ask-Us-Anything meeting on the fourth Monday of the month.
To close the topic, we will discuss a few of the questions that were submitted by participants beforehand.

We run each meeting in two sessions to allow participants from most time zones to participate.

The Kick-Off meetings are for all (free) members.

The other three meetings are only for All Access members.
